Attire & Traditions

Dress Code:

Welcome Party: Cocktail attire. Desi-inspired cocktail looks (colorful, festive, or Indo-Western) are warmly welcome but absolutely optional.

Wedding Day: Formal attire. Indo-Western or South Asian formal attire is welcome, but not required.

South Asian Traditions & Attire:

To honor Sabiha’s Bangladeshi heritage, we’ll be weaving in a few meaningful South Asian elements throughout the celebration. You may notice traditional attire worn by the bride and close family, along with cultural touches in music or design.

If you’re curious about participating through attire, Indo-Western is a wonderful option. Indo-Western attire blends South Asian elements with Western silhouettes, think:

  • Gowns or dresses with South Asian fabrics, embroidery, or draping

  • Modern silhouettes paired with traditional detailing

  • Statement jewelry or accessories inspired by South Asian design

This is simply an invitation, not an expectation. We want everyone to feel comfortable and confident in whatever they choose to wear.
